Who We Are
We are professionals. We are a tutoring and academic coaching program that has been working with parents and their children in Eastern Massachusetts since 2009. In 2017 we expanded to service Central Massachusetts, and in October 2018 we opened the NLU Learning Center in West Boylston, MA. Next Level Up believes that each child is unique, making it necessary for each academic coaching plan to be fully individualized. We strive to hire dedicated and compassionate professionals to provide quality academic support to your student, incorporating fundamentals, organizational skills, and much needed perspective. Your student's sustained success in school, as well as his or her well being, and your satisfaction, are our main priorities. Our tutors can work with any age student in any subject, including upper level Math, Science, and English curriculum.
All Next Level Up academic coaches have a Master's degree or are currently enrolled in a reputable Graduate program. They have at least three years of one on one experience working with children of all ages. Most of our coaches are current, former, or retired classroom teachers or college professors.
Our coaches begin with assessing and addressing the fundamental needs of your student, and base each individualized session on the student's classroom curriculum, desired goals, and the areas needing improvement. After receiving parental permission, we encourage all academic coaches to connect with each student's teachers, if and when it is possible. This is beneficial and helps maintain the continuity between all of the people helping support the student in his or her academic life. We believe that having everyone on the same page is an integral part to each student's success. We also suggest that your student utilizes the resources and support systems available at his or her school.
Message from the Founder:
I have been an educator for more than twenty-five years. Throughout that time my philosophy has evolved through a variety of teaching experiences. However I've always remained dedicated to approaching all students, regardless of age or background, as unique individuals, each with their own set of interests, strengths, weaknesses, and perspectives. I know that the key to making the all important teacher-student connection is by taking a sincere interest in who that particular student is. Without a real connection, success is much less attainable. Every academic coach working with Next Level Up has to share this vision and believe that compassion and genuineness, along with the reinforcement of fundamentals and positive study habits, are the best avenues to take when trying to reach a student.
Sincerely,
Todd Blechner
